A Terroristic Divorce

Initial Report:
Computer Surveillance program needs to be detected, removed and prevented in the future.

Detective Ray Kuter:
I took the computer to his office in Norristown, where he was unable to accomplish any sort of investigation.

Actions:
Det. Kuter tries for an hour to get a monitor and keyboard to work with computer.  As the computer has begun a self destruct sequence, he bails on any investigation until the machine is stabilized.   He would later after ignoring telephone calls for months and months make an offer to purge the hard disk of any data and thus delete any evidence of the intrusion.  What kind of investigator suggests the deletion of the evidence which prove the crime as a way of investigating the crime?

Colin went to my mothers one evening and talked with her. 

During the conversation he suggested that his grandmother would not believe the things that his father was sending to his mother.

It was immediately pointed out to Colin that his father wasn’t sending anything to his mother.  She was spying on his father.

I am certain of the content Colin was referring to.  I had downloaded some extremely graphic video content from the web.  I ran the video forwards and backwards at half speed from midnight to 8AM.  It was so graphic that I couldn;t makew it through the opening credits myself.  I had turned the monitor off and gone to bed.  Apparently Colin was confirming again that his mother was behind the intrusion.

The FBI uses a program called DCS (Digital Collection System)  to handle land line phone surveillance.  It it not even necessary for them to leave their offices to activate it and the data can be received anywhere thanks to the internet.

I found out about this after my phone was ringing back after calls for weeks.  It was annoying so I called the phone company.  They had no information.  So I did a little investigating.  Got the number that the ringback was coming from.  Tracked it to a building in Huntingdon Valley, PA.  Building looked vacant.  Their web site storefront had been abandoned.  I called the number back and it would just ring and ring.  Then i started to wait, and after 20 rings, it answeres and said somethign along the line of “Please enter your access code.”

I searched the web for a phone device that used that phrase and found a pdf file for a manual.  A manual for the DCS-1500.  I downloaded it.  Suddenly my phone rang, it was a call FROM the number.  And someone pretending to be my sons soccer coach who had made calls years ago from that phone.   I never got around to opening the manual that day.  I thought it was Digital Communications System. 

I learned months later that the FBI system was called DCS.  I had the manual to their program that was gathering data for months and didn’t know it.  No wonder they called me when I downloaded it.  it makes sense.  And the distraction worked.

I looked outside and noticed 2 police cars in front of the house.  I had no idea why they were there.  That day I had been advised to escalate the network intrusion to the FBI.

It turns out that Sonya, who was staying at Ed Weideman’s nearby home,  had called the police and sent them to the house because Colin was coming to the house to beat me up. [Even typing this seems so ridiculous.  The idea of “beating up” is unfathomable.  We don’t do that.  We never did.]

So the police were in the driveway trying to cal Colin down from a fight which never happened. 

Colin came into the house that night and we talked.  He revealed that ‘he knew things’. 

I explained that I had been doing things on the computer to make the hacker expose themselves.  And he was revealing things that only could have been learned from that person.

Colin and I shared a great relationship until December 2006 when his mother told him her plan to divorce.  She told him to keep it a secret.  The only way he could make sure he didn’t tell me was to distance himself from me.  And that’s what he did.

Officer Dougherty comes to the house in response to the phone report. He listens to the situation and let’s me know that there is really little that can be done about the issue by Montgomery Township Police. As I had told him that Microsoft suggested I contact the FBI, he suggests I do as they instructed.
